This new and unique instrument uses magnetism to measure the thickness of any non-ferrous material
Particularly in the field of violin making, it becomes possible to measure the inside of already closed instruments without having to open them, or quickly view the thicknesses during the construction of new instruments/p>
Operation is simple: place the small magnetic sensor on the surface and drop a magnetic sphere inside the instrumentbr />
The feeler gauge will measure the distance between the ball and the sensorbr />
The measurement is continuous and, thanks to the simple and fast calibration system, any soft material can be applied to the sensor, eliminating the risk of scratching already finished instruments. />
