The Cloud was seen for the first time in VIDEO "Purple Rain".

Originally 4 guitars were built by David Husain, a luthier at Knut Koupee music in Minneapolis. This unique tool, was chosen by Prince for his versatility.

Cloud guitars were all with maple neck with marker dots ' depicting the symbols of love. 

Had a tuning fork of .75 24 "with 22 medium jumbo frets, and a keyboard with 12 RADIUS". They were fitted with an EMG 81 in the bridge and an EMG SA single-coil pickup in the neck position with a volume, tone and a 3-pickup selector.

Only four Cloud Guitars were played by Prince over the years although there are many replicas in Hard Rock Cafes around the world. These were built by Prince, numbered and certified but not by the same prince. Schecter Guitars was tasked with rebuilding the replica is available only through the website of Prince and his LIVE. These were available in bolt-on and neck-through with Duncan Designed pickups and Grover tuners.
