A new measurement technology

The HTG 6 uses the principle of magnetic attraction between a probe and a small sphere placed on the opposite side of the material. This solution eliminates the limits of ultrasonic or direct-contact systems: no coupling liquid required, no risk of scratches or indentations, and no alteration of the surface.

The system consists of a compact and robust control and display unit and interchangeable probes connected via aerospace-grade GX connector. The probes allow thickness measurements up to 19 mm and can be replaced quickly. Each probe change requires a simple recalibration, guided directly by the device.

The large color resistive touchscreen can be used even with gloves. The menus are simple, measurements are displayed in real time, and units (mm, tenths, thousandths of an inch) can be switched instantly. Minimum and maximum thresholds with acoustic alarms can also be set.
